1.Text to Text: The text of Beowulf highly relates to the Movie Adaptations of the character of Batman. These two stories relate in the matter that both the protagonist and the antagonist give each other their importance. Along with this both characters die in the end; one famous, one infamous. The characters of Beowulf and Grendel as stated give each other importance. This is through the aspect that Beowulf only ventured to the land of the Danish to defeat Grendel. The second form of relation between these texts is that both characters die in the end.
2.Text to World: The text of Beowulf has relations to the world through the event of Americas hunt for Osama Bin Laden. The relation in this event is how both characters wreaked havoc throughout a whole society. These characters although in a state of causing constant terror all it took was one major attack to cause a "Hero" to show up to balance the injustice. In Beowulf's case he became the hero for the Danes in defeating Grendel after he terrorized Herot. in America's case it was 9/11 that caused the current United States government to hunt and kill Osama, Just like Beowulf killed Grendel.
3.Text to Self: The text adaptation of Beowulf has the capacity to relate to people from all walks of life including myself. Beowulf as a character shows that success can come through bravery and faith. As a person who can find day to day life difficult and is always trying to be able to fit in his examples can be used as motivation for the daily living. Beowulf seemed to always find himself in situations that most people would break under the pressure from. I have found certain events as such and this aspect of bravery in both of us to completely rely on faith despite the absolute outcome relates us.
